Deborah Alibu is a financial management professional with over 10 years of experience in managing finance, procurement and administrative systems and processes, providing management with sound financial information for decision making.
Deborah has conducting specialized assessments/ evaluations and documentation in accordance with best finance practice. Deborah has over the years mentored and supported senior management and governance bodies in budgeting and expense reporting on the implementation of planned activities.
Deborah while in Mildmay Uganda reduced the risk by migrated over 80% payments to cheques and electronic banking system and coordinated monthly pay roll functions of over 200 employees. She developed financial models for establishing a framework for restructuring the repayment of IDA and ADB loans by the cotton sub sector of Government of Uganda and appraise financial management information system of companies to include National medical Stores, the Civil Aviation Authority and IDA.
Deborah hold a ACCA, a post graduate diploma in Business Management from Uganda Management Institute, A bachelors in Commerce)Accounting Makerere University. Currently she is the Finance and Administration Manger with Uganda Virus Research Institute and providing technical assistance to the New Partners Initiative.
