Edward (not real names) is a 34 year old bisexual, who lives in Kawempe Mbogo. He got to know about his status in July 2018 when Youth on Rock Foundation (YRF) organized an outreach in Kawempe.

Establishment youth friendly centers of excellence attracts young people to health facilities

Before SRHR-Umbrella programme health facilities registered less numbers of young people. When SRHRU programme established ‘Youth friendly Centres of excellence’ by equipping selected facilities with indoor and outdoor games, Television screens with educational movies, a sharp increase in the number of young people frequenting these facilities was registered.

Hope Mbale is a non-profit Organization that aims at advocating for human rights observance, quality health service provision and equal opportunities for all. The Organization is LGBT focused and operates in eight (8) districts of Mbale, Manafwa, Sironko, Bulambuli, Tororo, Busia, Budaka and Serere in Eastern Uganda.
